The middle of the service is where identity can be lost and where evidence either exists or doesn’t. This stage carries the case ID from step 01 forward into the process record, ash recovery and final closure evidence.

PROCESS PROTECTION
High-Temperature Process Mat
Ceramic-fiber process mat that fits the chamber deck. Designed to keep process residue contained for later ash recovery.

Ash Recovery Cloth
Fine-weave cloth used to lift remaining ash from the chamber. Sealed into a labelled pouch with the same case ID for hand-over.

Process Record Sleeve
Document sleeve holding the operating checklist, start/end timestamps, weight log and operator signature. The case ID is printed on the spine.

Closure Evidence Envelope
Tamper-evident envelope that seals the recovered ash, the disc and the process-record sleeve before they enter stage 03.

One chain of evidence from prep to envelope.
Operators move through the same five steps per case. The same checklist is used regardless of operator, season or facility — the closure envelope holds the differences.
- 01 · Pre-processVerify the Stainless Identity Disc against the stage 01 case ID. Place the High-Temperature Process Mat inside the chamber. Print the disc inventory slip.
- 02 · ProcessLog start time, end time and operator initials on the Process Record Sleeve. Stamp or sign every page break. Keep one photo slot on the sleeve cover.
- 03 · RecoverOnce cooled, use the Ash Recovery Cloth to lift remaining ash. Match the cloth case ID to the disc case ID. Move cloth, disc and any solids into the Closure Evidence Envelope.
- 04 · VerifyTwo-person confirmation that the case ID on disc, cloth and envelope all match. Initial in the Process Record Sleeve’s verify box.
- 05 · Hand overSealed envelope is the input to stage 04 family return & memorial. The Process Record Sleeve is filed separately and can be requested for any later evidence review.
